NORTH CENTRAL MICHIGAN COLLEGE: Great Winter 2019 Course


North Central Michigan College issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.

ANOTHER GREAT WINTER 2019 COURSE!

ENVS 265: Environmental Policy T/TH 10 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.

Why is it so challenging for governments at all levels to successfully address environmental issues from water rights to biodiversity? This class examines both the science behind these issues and the obstacles that stand in the way of effective policymaking. From regional issues like Line 5 to international agreements on climate change, the class will feature local experts and area businesses impacted by national and international policymaking. Team-taught by Earth Science Professor Dr. Jeff Lockridge and Political Science Professor Dr. Scott LaDeur, students will be able to examine this issues from all angles of the policy making process.
