OTTAWA AREA INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT: Careerline Tech Center Students Advance to State Health Careers Competition


Ottawa Area Intermediate School District issued the following announcement on Jan. 22.

6 Careerline Tech Center Dental Careers students qualified in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference

Six students in the Dental Careers program at Careerline Tech Center (CTC) qualified for the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference in Dental Sciences at the HOSA Region 6 Leadership Conference in Scottville January 11.

Homeschooled senior Adrienne VanEvery, Hamilton Community Schools senior Ashley Loew, and Black River Public School senior Yared Gordillo placed first, second and third respectively in the Dental Terminology competition. Junior Taylor Holthof from Allendale Public Schools, Coopersville junior Katelynn Fritz, and Grand Haven High School senior Tylee Knieper also took first, second, and third places respectively in the Dental Skills competition. All students plan to attend the 2019 State Leadership Conference at the Amway Plaza in Grand Rapids March 21-22.
