Graduates earn 3,470 degrees, certificates from Baker College


About 35.2 percent of the 3,470 degrees and certificates handed out by Baker College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Flint conferred 733 associate's degrees and 337 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 414 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 169 bachelor's degrees in health/health care administration/management and 147 associate's degrees in general business administration and management.

The college enrolled 12,018 students for 2017-18, including 11,603 in undergraduate programs and 415 in graduate programs.
