Graduates earn 2,186 degrees, certificates from the University of Michigan-Dearborn


About 24.6 percent of the 2,186 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Dearborn conferred 270 master's degrees and 266 bachelor's degrees in engineering programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 116 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 114 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and 110 master's degrees in mechanical engineering.

The university enrolled 9,330 students for 2017-18, including 7,132 in undergraduate programs and 2,198 in graduate programs.
